And we are passionate towards combatting the negative impact of economic and racial inequities, to include poor health, substance abuse, food insecurity, and poverty, for vulnerable populations within Granville County, North Carolina.

Is to ensure people have the resources they need (physically and spiritually) to believe, to achieve, and to free themselves from oppression caused by socio-economic inequalities.

Our vision is that our programs and partnerships will provide more opportunities for upward mobility for disadvantaged and disenfranchised individuals and families within Granville County, North Carolina. Our motto is “developing one another and bettering our community”

OUR FACILITY

The SCEC is located at 109 E D St, Butner, NC 27509 near Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth Church. The facility is handicap asseccisble. It is an air-condidtioned, non-smoking facility with high speed wi-fi access. Table and chairs are included with any rental. The Activity Room in the SCEC can accommodate groups up to a maximum of 54 people.

Got a good idea? We'd love to hear it. We may be small; however, we are a tight group.

Volunteers are very important in helping the BCA with the annual Butner Chicken Pickin’. So, come join our volunteer team! We have lots of opportunities for you, from the car show, to entertainment, to vendor management. Don’t worry, we schedule everyone in shifts so you can spend some time enjoying the Chicken Pickin’ yourself!
